AlvaFlash™
is a composite sheet material comprising an 18 micron bright aluminium foil that can have a clear, white, metallic grey or copper surface finish. Other colours are available to special order. This foil is bonded to a 75 micron Valéron® core. The material has been created for conversion into bitumen backed roof flashing components. One of the functions of AlvaFlash™ is to block infrared energy and virtually all UV energy that would otherwise be absorbed by the bitumen backing. In a short period of time this energy will break down the bitumen, shortening its life. With a low moisture transmission rate of 0.023g/m² AlvaFlash™ is also an excellent water barrier.
