To act as a radiant barrier the HRM is installed within a structure facing at least one air space, usually 19 to 25mm.
Wall 0.67 m2KW
Floor 0.80 m2KW
Ceiling 0.45 m2KW
Pitched Roof 0.51 m2KW
Thermal resistance values (R-value) were calculated to BS EN ISO 6946: 1997 for a mean temperature of 10°C. The ultimate thermal performance of the product will depend on the construction of the wall, ceiling or roof against which it is installed.Calculation given by BBA

Apollo Insulation’s ranges of reflective foils are solutions to meet the increasingly stringent thermal insulation performance requirements for buildings.
Traditional insulation works by slowing down convection and conduction. However, radiant heat loss is a major factor in a buildings thermal efficiency accounting for up to 80% of heat lost through walls with only around 20% lost via convection and conduction.
The more radiant energy is reflected the less heat is transferred – our foil membranes reflect more than 95% of radiated heat.
It is essential that insulation has a good thermal performance in summer and winter. When using Apollo's Heat Reflecting Membranes other qualities such increased living space, durability, and ease of installation are also achieved.
Manufactured in the UK Apollo's range of foil membranes have undergone substantial testing and have achieved certification by the British Board of Agrément.
Every roll of Eco-Brite® or Thermo-Foil®ES (120m2 per roll) installed will save over 1400kg of Carbon Dioxide emissions per annum.
Thermo-Foil® (Also branded as Thermo-Brite III, SuperBrite and AgriLiner), Eco-Brite, InsuFlect, EncaSeal all have;Class 1 – BS 476 Part 7 Surface Flame SpreadClass 0 – BS 467 part 6 Fire Propagation Index
